Dr. Jalal Al Haffar joined the Gentle Caring Dentistry team in May 2020 and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Haffar earned a degree in dentistry from the International University for Science and Technology. In 2014, Dr. Haffar immigrated to the United States and immediately started the necessary steps to become a U.S licensed dentist.

He passed the National Dental Board examinations, then moved to the state of Ohio to commence in a two-year advanced dental residency, where he was trained on advanced subjects and procedures.

With much hard work and determination, Dr. Haffar was awarded a U.S dental license in 2019.

Prior to his move to the United States, Dr. Haffar spent three years providing dental care to refugees in a public dental clinic.

Through this experience, Dr. Haffar gained considerable experience in dental surgery, restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and prosthodontics.

His move to California in 2014 provided even more learning opportunity, where Dr. Haffar was able to create a course and teach the National Dental Board examination subjects to sophomore and senior dental students.

In 2017, Dr. Haffar was accepted at the New York University College of Dentistry for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, a highly competitive residency program where he was able to focus on more complex dentistry for two years.

Dr. Haffar is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, California Dental Association, Junior Chamber International of the United Nations and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Dr. Haffar enjoys helping patients restore their teeth back to health and bringing back a lost smile. He has additional interest in helping children with their dental care needs. In his free time, Dr. Haffar enjoys hiking, table tennis, soccer, cooking, and traveling.

Gentle Caring Dentistry welcomes Dr. Jalal Al Haffar!

Born and raised in India, I completed 5 years of Bachelors of Dentistry in 2008. Following this, I also completed 3 years of specialty training with Oral Medicine and Radiology from Rajasthan, India in 2013. My specialty training made me adept at the skill of diagnosing various oro-dental conditions including but not limited to TMJ disorders, Oral cancer, auto-immune disorders and formulating treatment plans for the same. I also developed great skill with various imaging modalities of the oral and maxillo-facial region. After working in private practice for one year, I concluded my dental education in the USA by successfully completing the DDS program from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2017. While in dental school, I also completed 1 year of advanced training with Oral surgery.

Within Dentistry my current interests include comprehensive dental care for my patients and formulating individualized treatment plans to achieve the best possible and long lasting outcomes. I pride myself on superior patient and community service. I am passionate about dentistry and treat each patient like I would treat my family.

Outside of Dentistry, I love spending time travelling and enjoying the outdoors. I am an avid photographer and love to do landscape photography.

Dr. Vinh Nguyen is excited to join the Gentle Caring Dental team in Fremont. Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska along with five other siblings. Aspiring to become a dentist, he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Following graduation, Dr. Nguyen chose to pursue several years of public service as a dentist at a healthcare clinic in Sioux City, Iowa, bringing quality healthcare to underserved patients. Dr. Nguyen has served as adjunct faculty through the University of Iowa training dental students, and also continues to pursue his own education through courses on a variety of topics in order to bring patients the best in modern dental care. He brings a wealth of experience in dentistry, including pediatric dentistry, and puts patients of all ages at ease. Dr. Nguyen enjoys providing the highest level of personal and professional dental care for the whole family, and educating parents and their children on their dental care needs.

In his free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his fiancé, cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and is looking forward to becoming a fan of OSU football as well, he likes staying active by playing golf and doing long distance running.

“I first became passionate about orthodontics after having braces myself. I saw first hand how a great smile has a huge impact on one’s self-esteem. My favorite thing about coming into our practice is seeing how happy patients are when their braces are removed and their new beautiful smiles are revealed! I also enjoy seeing how once fearful patients look forward to jumping in the chair and telling us how their day went.”

Dr. Patel attended dental school at the University of Michigan Dental School, which is Ranked # 1 in the nation. While in dental school, Dr. Patel undertook research on patients smiles and their self esteem.

Dr. Patel then attended the three year orthodontic residency program at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas where he received his Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and MBA.

Dr. Patel is also a Board certified Orthodontist, A board certified orthodontist is an orthodontist who has voluntarily gone through hundreds of additional hours of preparation to demonstrate their judgment, skills and knowledge required for providing the highest level of patient care. They have achieved board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and in affiliation with the American Association of Orthodontists.

In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters and their family and friends. He also enjoys watching College Football and is a big Michigan and Oklahoma fan, when not enthusiastically rooting for his favorite teams, he enjoys working out and spends time travelling. He is also co inventor of ORTHOMINDS an orthodontics cloud based orthodontic software.
